Ovarian cancer is ruthless and we aim to build awareness amongst physicians, women and their loved ones of the enormous benefit of opportunistic fallopian tube removal.
Loving Mother and Grandmother, whose family shaped every facet of her life. Her loss is profound but her legacy of love continues.
Our team is our family and we are passionate about making a difference in women's health by promoting awareness of a simple and effective procedure.
Founded by Luke Langan and supported by his family.
Our mother and grandmother was a woman of remarkable strength, resilience, and love. She courageously battled ovarian cancer—a relentless disease that often goes undetected until it is too late.
For months, she faced misdiagnoses, fought to have her voice heard, and endured the mounting symptoms of an illness that remained hidden in plain sight. By the time her condition was fully understood, the disease had already taken its toll. Despite undergoing a grueling surgery, aggressive chemotherapy, and receiving care from some of the world’s most skilled physicians, she lost her life in July 2023. She left behind a family who adored her and a legacy of love for life itself.
That same year, her grandson happened to watch a news segment discussing ovarian cancer—the signs, symptoms, diagnostic challenges, and treatment options. This led him down a path of research, where he uncovered a critical yet under-recognized truth: More and more physicians are now advocating for elective fallopian tube removal as a preventive measure against ovarian cancer. However, despite strong scientific support, education and awareness about this life-saving option remain far behind the research.
This gap—between what science knows and what is widely practiced—inspired the Take the Tubes Initiative. Fueled by love, loss, and the urgent need for change, we are committed to raising awareness, educating both the public and medical professionals, and empowering individuals with the knowledge they need to make informed, proactive decisions about their health.
Our mother and grandmother’s battle was not in vain. Her story now serves as a catalyst for prevention—so that fewer families have to endure the heartbreak of ovarian cancer.
